Are you a passionate technologist looking to innovate in the mental health industry? You can build your own product in the span of 24 hours, or attend workshops, lectures, and check out the final presentations by all of our hackers!
Not tech-focused? Are you a big-thinker looking to share your ideas about how to improve mental health in the 21st century? Come to see workshops, network, and partner with computer science experts to brainstorm an innovative mental health care product!
Are you a mental health care provider, student, administrator, or patient interested in understanding ways to challenge the current system’s model of healthcare? Share your knowledge with the teams as a mentor, or partner directly with teams to come up with a novel solution to age-old problems.
Overall, if you’re passionate about improving our current model of mental health care , attend this hackathon to connect with similar minds and work on a project over the span of 24 hours. We don’t expect everyone to be able to directly contribute to code.
Why should I come to Hack Mental Health?
Can I participate?
Yes! This hackathon is open to everyone, both students and non-students, from any background.
But, I don't know how to code!
Don’t worry! In the beginning of the event, we'll connect you coders that could use someone with the relevant area of expertise. You could be a designer, a product manager, a marketing specialist, or even just a passionate person with some ideas about the mental health and technology space, we promise!
when is it?
Saturday, Feb 3 - Sunday, Feb 4.
Where is it?
We’ll be in the center of SOMA at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), 1453 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103.
A laptop, charger, ID, and a bright smile :).
What should I bring?
Nope! When you fill out the application, let us know that you don’t have one and we’ll help you find an awesome team :).
Do I need a team?
You have 24 hours to build a product that leverages technology to innovate on the mental health space. You must start your coding on this project at the actual hackathon (no pre-existing projects!). We also expect attendees to behave respectfully to all other participants.
Click the "Apply Now" button at the top of this page :).
