HackMentalHealth London Vision

Mental illness is the single largest source of burden of disease in the UK and yet current estimates suggest that 70-75% of people with diagnosable mental illness receive no treatment at all. For those living with a mental illness, the impact can be significant. Studies have shown that for those suffering from severe and prolonged mental illness the risk of dying is on average 15-20 years earlier than other people.

We at HackMentalHealth want to see this change. HackMentalHealth originated in Silicon Valley, and we are excited to announce that we are opening our first international chapter - HackMentalHealth London.

We believe that through fostering a thoughtful and inclusive community of mental health advocates, entrepreneurs, clinicians and technologists we can successfully drive digital innovation in mental healthcare.
